Our vision
At the Veterinary Regional Orthopedic Center (VROC) we’re pioneering a new horizon in veterinary orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation and spine care through a harmonious blend of clinical expertise, educational growth, and forward-thinking research. Underpinned by our three-pillar model, our mission is to provide unparalleled care to every patient, every day.
By placing cutting-edge surgical equipment in the hands of highly qualified, board certified surgeons, we intend to become the leader in specialist surgery, for both pet owners and referring veterinarians, in Texas.
A state-of-the-art facility
Nestled in the heart of North Austin, our regional orthopedic center is more than just a clinic, it is being built with the intention of advancing the integrated model of veterinary surgery to the next level of excellence. Spanning 17,500 square feet, the facility will feature four advanced operating rooms, offering comprehensive orthopedic surgical options for dogs and cats, including TPLOs, minimally invasive fracture repair, total joint replacement, and spinal surgery.
Our fully-equipped pet rehabilitation center, focusing on post-surgical care and mobility support, is dedicated to optimizing recovery outcomes and enhancing the quality of life for pets and their owners alike.
Situated above the hospital, the 6,400 square feet of office space will serve as a hub for small regional conferences and continuing education programs, designed to foster significant advancements in animal healthcare.
Surgeon owned and operated
Dr. David Allman DACVS-SA, has partnered with nationally and internationally renowned board-certified veterinarian surgeons to establish this specialty surgical center. VROC has, and will always maintain, a surgeon owned and operated structure to ensure there are no barriers to maintaining the highest standards of surgery and pet care within the hospital.
VROC embraces a culture of teamwork and respect, where every member of our team of specialists is dedicated to excellence, compassion, and innovation, with an individual focus on the needs of our patients and their families. We pledge to continuously improve all processes supporting patient care, education, and research, ensuring that our practice not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the communities we serve.
About Dr. Allman
Dr. Allman earned his veterinary degree from Texas A&M University and pursued further training through a 1-year internship at the University of Georgia, a surgical internship at the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center, and a 3-year surgical residency at Michigan State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Specializing in minimally invasive surgery and canine sports medicine, he completed his residency and became an assistant professor at Michigan State University, teaching the main surgery course.
Since 2012, he has owned and operated Mobile Veterinary Specialist in his hometown of Austin; a mobile team of specialist surgeons, who support vet clinics by giving them the opportunity to offer specialist orthopedic surgery to their clients in the comfort and convenience of their primary veterinary facility.
